Stuart Sokel, Advisor - Energy

Mr. Sokel is the Managing Director of Birchwood Advisors, a commodity-centered platform focused on energy analysis, financial intermediation, and intellectual property. Prior to Birchwood, Mr. Sokel was employed by TOTAL Energies in Singapore, London, Geneva, and Houston. He also held senior positions at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Sokel worked within HSBC Global Markets (United Kingdom) on secondment from TOTAL Trading & Shipping via their corporate alliance. His client interaction for this strategic initiative covered macro institutions and corporates. Mr. Sokel draws on his experience in energy trade, origination, price management and renewable analysis to match the verification of next generation technology with commercial traction and execution. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The Binghamton University School of Management.
