Entered service in the operating dept of the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970, retiring from the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad in 2012. During that period holding multiple positions as locomotive Engineer/Conductor, Trainmaster, Supervisor of Locomotive Engineers, Manager of Operating Practices. Associated duties were, service design, feasibility studies, business development, employee training, safety training and regulation, Federal Railroad Administration direct contact, Terminal Management, and Project Management. 2013 formed Shea transportation Consulting a Texas LLC , that specialized in bring the career skills developed over career span to Shortline Railroads, private industry, and Municipalities, associated to the Permian Basin oil field and trade opportunities along and including the border with Mexico.
