Project Details

Project Overview

A 220 MW combined-cycle gas-to-power facility integrating blue hydrogen production with carbon capture. The project converts Permian natural gas into low-carbon hydrogen and then into firm, dispatchable electricity sold into ERCOT, serving industrial, oilfield and advanced manufacturing demand across the region.

Location

Approximately 15 miles northeast of Fort Stockton in Pecos County, Texas, on an owned site of roughly 1,000 acres in the ERCOT West Load Zone. The site holds permitted water rights of approximately 4.1 million gallons per day, fiber connectivity, hardtop county road access, and Texas Pacifico rail access for major equipment delivery.

Technology

Natural gas reforming to produce approximately 138 tonnes per day of low-carbon hydrogen, with roughly 1,130 tonnes per day of CO2 captured and directed to Permian enhanced oil recovery. Combined-cycle generation using four combustion turbines and a steam turbine, at an effective availability of approximately 97%. Hydrogen-capable across the generation fleet.

Development Status

Site control secured. Engineering complete. Permitting advancing through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Interconnection study underway. Advancing toward financial close.

Economic Impact

Construction employment, permanent operating positions, firm power supply for regional industrial and data center demand, and a long-term contribution to the county tax base.
